The Power of Yoga and Zen
with Sherri Baptiste
and Zenkei Blanche Hartmann
June 12-14 | weekend retreat

This retreat will explore the synergy and complementary insights and practices of Hatha yoga and Zen Buddhism. Yoga classes will be a flowing vinyasa style that encourages movement of the body and the breath with fluidity, grace, strength, and stability. The yoga asana help cultivate the flexibility of mind and body, postural strength, ease in sitting and breath-work that are the basis of Zen practice. The Zen sessions will enable attention, inner quiet, fresh insights and open awareness that support mind and body to flow as one through the yoga asana practice. Together these techniques and practices are supportive for relieving stress, maintaining health, and promoting creativity and vitality. You’ll be gently guided through each practice. We recommend at least one year of Hatha yoga practice with some experience with meditation preferable but not essential.
